The adult diagnostic component of the WCCVT employs state-of-the-art technology recognized as one of the few “precision” color vision tests currently available, as acknowledged by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This military-grade assessment is accepted by the U.S. Navy, Army, and Coast Guard for evaluating all personnel and applicants, including aviators. Its robust diagnostic capabilities effectively identify both genetic and acquired color vision deficiencies, providing detailed information regarding the type and severity of the impairment.

The application also includes “Color Vision Testing Made Easy,” a pediatric testing protocol regarded as the gold standard within the field. Although it incorporates the D-15 test for reimbursement reasons—despite its lower sensitivity and specificity relative to the specialized diagnostic assessments—this inclusion offers practical value in clinical workflows.

Pricing options for the Waggoner CCVT on iPad are as follows: a lifetime license granting perpetual access or a monthly subscription model. The choice must be made following a 30-day free trial period. Users should be aware that terminating the trial without purchasing either plan will result in automatic billing of the monthly subscription fee unless the application is deleted or a lifetime license is secured beforehand.
